Work in Progress

I am being slightly selfish in writing a blog, as I thought it might be just as useful to me if I wrote a few thoughts down about the processes and ideas that go in to my pictures, as it would perhaps be entertaining for you to see a picture evolve. It won't all be about my stuff though.

Look out for blogs about new materials and techniques, colour, design, architecture, special places, other artists and their work, books and exhibitions.

Here is a picture of me in the studio a couple of years ago. There is a lot to look at. None of the paintings are finished. I tend to work on a batch of six or so, loosely to start, then home in on one and work more tightly until I think it is finished.
