The Details

If I try one of these little oil paintings at the allotment, I know I'm in for a challenging time. So much structure, so many colours. Even with half of everything left out, there still seems to be too much included.

And here I think I moved a bit too close to this wonderfully coloured Raywood (Narrow Leaved Ash). Tempted towards detail, which doesn't work so well with big brushes and a tiny panel, or with what I'm trying to do. The paint looks lovely though, and I came away pleased.
